Dear colleagues,

I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to all members of the Korean Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association (KCPCA). It is a pleasure to meet you. Above all, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve as the president of the KCPCA, despite my various shortcomings.

After overcoming unprecedented challenges from the coronavirus pandemic over the past 3 years, we are now poised to make substantial academic achievements through the passion and effort of various executives, including the secretary chairman and the former president of the association. Additionally, our journal, Archives of Craniofacial Surgery, has been indexed in Scopus. The KCPCA/Korean Society for Simulation Surgery International Joint Symposium with the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons was held in April 2023. Our association has grown to become a truly global organization, thanks to the dedication and efforts of our members, including the secretary chairman and other executives of the KCPCA, despite various challenging conditions.

The KCPCA remains committed to inviting distinguished scholars from around the globe. Presentations will feature excellent topics, reflecting the hallmarks of a premier international conference. This is in stark contrast to the deteriorating healthcare environment in Korea, which is a source of significant concern.

We are committed to providing a valuable opportunity and environment for collective growth and development, expanding our network of friendships, and sharing significant research findings and ideas. Our members have dedicated considerable effort to advancing innovative studies and experiences in the field of cranio-maxillofacial surgery.

We look forward to welcoming all our members in good health to the 2024 Korean Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association Spring Scientific Conference. It is our hope that this conference will significantly contribute to your clinical practice and research endeavors. I would like to wish everyone good health and a prosperous New Year. Thank you.
